Services Building - Majura Office Park |
The construction brief for the Majura Park
Office precinct and central service buildings
in the Canberra International Airport complex,
was to install a cost effective, green alternative,
co-generation system to provide power for
the 4 buildings.
Brooks Marchant and Delta Automation installed
& commissioned a trigeneration system
comprising of a natural gas fired generator
which produces electricity and heat, and
an absorption chiller that utilises the
waste heat from the electricity generation
to chill water.
The electricity is used in the Majura office
precinct and sold back to the grid and the
chilled and heated water is used for heating
and cooling.
It was the seamless collaboration and technical
skill sharing between the two companies
that resulted in a highly successful outcome.
